S.NORTH FLINTLOCK PISTOL MODEL 1816
Description:
A flintlock Military Pistol made by S. North, Model 1816 , in Very Good condition. The round barrel is .54 caliber, 9 & 1/16 inches long and marked on top near the lock " U.S., and "P". The lock is marked "S. North" over an Eagle , with U.S. on either side of the Eagle and Midln.
Con. below. Some of the marking is gone which is typical with this model The markings were weakly stamped. . The overall length is 15 & 1/4 inches. The action is strong and the hammer holds on both full and half cock.Most of the metal is bright steel .. The walnut stock is sound with only minor dings, etc. which can be seen in the pictures below. These pistols were made from 1817 to 1820 and 19,374 were made.
This is an antique. No FFL is required. This FINE weapon can be sent directly to a new owner. A nice piece for your collection and a good investment as flintlocks are rapidly gaining in value.
