U.S. Liberator FP-45 Pistol, manufactured by the Guide Lamp Division of General Motors, serial # None, cal. 45 ACP, 4” barrel with an excellent bore, the barrel is dark gray with some very light oxidation along with some peppery pitting near the muzzle but nothing I would consider drastic or alarming and what I believe is a German proofmark on the side of the barrel. The grind mark along the top of the barrel is smooth with several welding imperfections as is the case on these Liberators. The metal surfaces retain about 96% original finish that exhibits some scattered light oxidation stains, scratches and other light handling marks but again nothing drastic or alarming,. The cocking knob is in near excellent condition with smooth surfaces, minor casting flaws and a few light handling marks. This is a 3rd model pistol with four oil holes, its mechanically functional and the floorplate is present. No clandestine or military collection is complete without a “Flare Projector-45 Pistol".
