1943 WWII Trophy Imperial Japanese NAGOYA Type 14 NAMBU 8x22mm Pistol C&R
Pacific Theater AXIS Sidearm in Reed Basket Case!
Description: 1943 WWII Trophy Imperial Japanese NAGOYA Type 14 NAMBU 8x22mm Pistol C&R Pacific Theater AXIS Sidearm in Reed Basket Case! Here we present a World War II Japanese Nagoya Type 14 Nambu Pistol, made in September of 1943 at the Nagoya Arsenal Kokubunji. This pistol is a fantastic original example of what a Japanese soldier would have used during World War II in the Pacific Theater. The pistol is so-named “Nambu” for its inventor. The Type 14 was the final iteration of Kijiro Nambu’s original design, adopted in the 14th year of Taisho Japanese calendar, which was 1925. It was simple and unique in many ways to other combat pistols during the war. It was chambered for the 8mm Nambu cartridge, which was a bottlenecked 8x22mm, and held 8 rounds in the magazine. This pistol is dated “18.9”, meaning that it was made in “1943 September” or the 18th year of the Japanese Showa calendar with the month being represented by the second number. It is almost certain this was a bring-back as there are no import markings. The overall condition is very good. This pistol was reblued at some point. The numbers match, including the magazine. The action is strong. The bore is in good shape. Both wooden grips are in great shape. All markings are clear and legible. Also included is a reed basket that has been turned into a fitted case for the pistol and 20 rounds of 8x22mm Nambu ammunition. A fantastic piece of WWII history for an unassuming display! This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 4-1/2 inches. Caliber: 8x22mm Nambu Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $2135 #201135 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
