Description: The Type 14 Nambu pistol was the standard sidearm of the Imperial Japanese Army and Navy from 1925 through the end of World War II. Designed by Kijiro Nambu and manufactured at various arsenals including Nagoya, this pistol served Japanese forces throughout their most significant military campaigns of the 20th century.
This excellent example was manufactured at the Nagoya Arsenal in 1935 and features the distinctive small trigger guard design. Notable characteristics include straw finished levers and 2-groove cocking handle typical of the period. Matching numbers throughout with exception of the magazine. Very fine condition retaining most all original finishes with an excellent bore. A fine example of this historically significant Japanese military sidearm.
