Offered here for sale and just acquired is this vintage popular for shooters and collectors Chinese Tokarev 7.62mm auto pistol imported by Norinco 40-45 years ago.
The Chinese Tokarev 7.62×25 pistol imported by Norinco is usually a version of the Type 54 pistol, China’s copy of the Soviet Tokarev TT?33. It was produced beginning in 1954 and later exported to the U.S. by Norinco (China North Industries Corporation).
These commercially popular but military-appearing specimens were made for export in the 1980s–early 1990s, when large numbers of Chinese Tokarevs were imported into the U.S. by companies like Navy Arms, KSI, and others. Imports largely stopped around 1994 when U.S. sanctions blocked most Chinese firearms imports.
Many export pistols were surplus Type 54 military guns refurbished or newly produced for export and then marked by Norinco/importers. This is stamped with a “66” which may be its export date by Norinco.
Typical features of Norinco-import Tokarevs:

• Caliber 7.62×25 Tokarev
• Added manual safety (required for U.S. import laws)
• Import marks like:
  • “NORINCO CHINA”
  • Importer name (e.g., KSI Pomona CA, CSI Ontario CA, etc.)
• 7-round magazine

It is in excellent slightly used condition and comes with two magazines.
