This Spreewerke 9mm Luger caliber P.38 pistol is circa mid-1944. This gun is called by collectors the first alphabet run, second variation. The bore is excellent with bright, strong rifling. The gun has approx. 98% of its wartime blue finish. The left side of the slide is marked P.38 followed by cyq followed by the serial number, 1685v. The serial numbers match, There is a Waffenamt on the left above the trigger and three on the right side of the slide. The hammer is ribbed. The reddish brown plastic grips are excellent and are a tight fit. The magazine is marked jvd with a Waffenamt below. The action functions correctly. This is the best Spreewerke P.38 pistol we have had in years. Don't delay!
