This exceptional Mauser P38 in 9mmP, manufactured in 1944 for German police use, Eagle/L marked, with matching serial numbers and a matching-dated military holster, an ensemble that would be difficult to upgrade!

Description:

Standard configuration Mauser P38, coded byf in 1944, 9mmP, blued, Eagle L Police issue, with 5 inch barrel having drift adjustable front sight and U notched rear sight. Slide marked P.38 followed by “byf/44” and serial number. Usual safety markings w/ white "S" and red "F". Right side of slide with inspection markings to include Police Eagle/L. All matching with full serial number on frame, slide, barrel and last 3 digits on locking block. Fitted with brown phenolic grips and “P.38” marked magazine. Complete with leather holster marked on obverse side with a "jWa/4" followed by a large "P.38" to the right. No spare magazine.

Condition:

EXC, bright original salt blue finish with light sharp edge in usual places, minimal thinning of frontstrap. Comparable condition grips. Mirror bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics. VG holster with scuffs, intact stitching. A beautiful, original finish, all-blued German Police P38 Eagle/L made by Mauser in 1944 with matching-year military holster from World War II!
