Original late war and all-matching Mauser P.38 coded "byf 44", a dual-tone phosphated pistol with blued barrel and sights, complete with Mauser WaA135 accepted magazine.
Description:
Standard configuration Mauser P38 coded byf 44 with Dual-Tone finish. Major and most minor components phosphated, the barrel and front/rear sights blued. The left side of the slide is marked with the model, byf/44 code, and full SN that is repeated under the barrel, on the left side of the frame, and the last three digits on the locking block. Right side of slide with usual inspection/test proofs. Standard black ribbed plastic grips and a Mauser WaA135 accepted magazine.
Condition:
G-VG original finish with discoloration, spotting, oxidative changes on the right side of the slide, barrel and face of trigger. Mostly related to neglect, as little evidence of use. Grips with superficial handling marks. Mauser accepted magazine with insertional wear. Near mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics.
