Description:
Standard configuration Mauser P38 as made for the German military in 1944, 9mmP, with 5 inch barrel having drift adjustable front sight and U notched rear sight. Slide marked P.38 followed by “byf/44” and serial number. Usual safety markings. Right side of slide with inspection markings. All matching with full serial number on frame, slide, barrel and last 3 digits on locking block. Fitted with brown composition grips and “P.38” marked magazine.
Condition:
VG+ bright original salt blue finish with sharp edge in usual places, thinning of frontstrap. Comparable condition grips. Near mirror bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics. A very nice, original finish and all-matching P38 made by Mauser in 1944 and supplied to the German Army.
