P.38 Spreewerke cyq COLLECTOR GRADE m block
Description: This gun features an asterisk, which was used in the Spreewerk factory in Hradek nad Nisou (Grottau) as a marking of a "fixable reject". Parts with too sharp of edges were repaired and returned to assembly plant. Some parts were returned two or thee times and bear two or three asterisks. This gun is in 97%, very crisp condition. It is all-matching and factory original. It is a mid-war production, German WW2 issue, Spreewerke-made, cyq-coded P.38 pistol. It is an "m" black production with an asterisk marked barrel, indicating a formerly rejected part. The magazine is unmarked. The bore of this gun is mint. This was a vet bringback and is a very typical example of a mid-war production, Spreewerke-manufactured P.38. They are all very roughly finished on the surface, but are a well-made, totally functional pistol. They were considered to be somewhat less desirable on the collector market until a few years back when Ron Clarin’s informative book about them was published. Today they are getting a lot of well earned attention by collectors and are just as sought after as the Walther and Mauser made examples. All items are also available for sale in our brick & mortar store and are subject to prior sale. Think long, think wrong. We are always buying unique and collectible single firearms and collections. Please give us a call at 859-278-8370 to discuss what you have available. We also offer free appraisals and guarantee TOP DOLLAR PAID for your unique and collectible firearms. Payment On firearms, we typically only accept credit cards or money orders/cashier's checks.
