The full serial number is on the left side of the steel frame. Right side of slide is marked with the matching serial number, “Made in Germany”, and the “1886-1986” commemorative legend. Eagle/N proofing in usual locations. Wood checkered grips. Correct commerically marked magazine.
Synopsis:
High Polish Walther P38, STEEL FRAME, special commemorative address, 1 of 1000 commemoratives made in late 1985-1986, as new, no accessories.
Condition:
A virtually new ensemble. Even the top of the barrel, that usually shows a small scuff over the barrel hood after opening the action, is perfect. No discernible flaws on steel frame. Comparable condition grips and magazines. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A wonderful and scarce post-war P38 with the highly desirable steel frame.
