"Beautiful Presentation Pistols from Napoleon III (AH8817) DTX
Description:
"NSN. Made circa 1859. 50 caliber with a 10“ barrels. These pistols are in mint condition. The blue and gold on the barrels rate at 100%. The stocks are perfect. These guns were made by Ballot & Heberard. They are not marked on the guns due to the presentation on the barrels, but the inside of the case is marked. These pistols were presented by Napoleon III for 1st prizer in a shooting school to an Ensign which is a lower ranked officer in the Navy. The lettering is inlaid in gold and has the Gold crown over N. Napoleon III was the first president of France (1848-1852) and also the last Emperor of France until he was desposed in 1870. Very unique set from a very historic figure! (DALLAS LOCATION)
