Fine pair of turn off barrel flintlock pistols by Staton of London. These are often referred to as Queen Anne type pistols. The barrels are 5.5"" from the muzzle to the frame extension giving them a longer extension of 7"". Overall length is 12"". The stocks have delicate silver wire inlay and the silver wire is laid in smooth and is not protruding from the stock. The butt caps are silver with a varied design of high relief silver rococco designs. Actions work perfectly. The brass frames and barrels have a light patina which is very pleasing. The bores are approximately .65 caliber. Pistols have Birmingham proofs on barrel and frame. Left side of the frame is marked ""Staton"" and ""London"" on right with broad leaf floral engraving around the names. An impressive pair of pistols!
