Pair of Scottish Flintlock Pistols by W. Brander. Unusual pair of London Made Scottish style pistols by W. Brander. These are classic Scottish style all metal guns. Barrels are 8" and total length are 13 ½". The only deviation from the classic Scottish style of these guns is the Inverted V spring style lock. William Brander was a London gunsmith from 1752-1789. Along with this gun comes a binder that has different examples of guns that he made. None that we found were in the Scottish style. All of his guns are of excellent quality and the Metropolitan Museum of Art has a pair in their collection.
