B. Sturman (London) pair of .60 caliber dueling pistols. Made circa 1815, features include 9.5-inch octagon barrels (smoothbore, .835-inch at the flats, .600-inch bore diameter, bead), engraving with gold bands and hammer safeties. Individual weight is 2.0 pounds. CONDITION: Bores are browned with moderate pitting. Mechanics are solid. As refinished, barrel brown is approximately 80 percent with instances of minor roughness. Colors have silvered with some tarnish. Wood is solid and approximately 70 percent. CASE: A vintage case (sans label) includes a mold, flask and other tools and shows in fair condition. The price is firm and layaway is available. $8,500 plus shipping.
