Pritchard pair percussion belt pistols, .670 bore diameter, octagon, cased, layaway
Description: Pritchard (Birmingham) pair percussion belt pistols. Made circa 1845, features include five-inch octagon smoothbore barrels (.890-inch across the flats, .670 bore diameter), hammer safeties, belt clips and trapdoor grip caps. Finishes are brown, color case, polished blue and niter blue. Individual weight is 1.6 pounds. CONDITION: The bores are bright with minor browning and trace frosting. Mechanics are solid. Brown and blue are approximately 60 percent, colors are approximately 30 percent and niter is approximately 40 percent. Markings and engraving are sharp. Grips are wonderfully executed and at least 85 percent. CASE: The fitted case (cracked lid, no label) houses a bullet mold and tools. The price is firm and layaway is available. $4,000 plus shipping.
