Wilkinson (London) cased pair of percussion belt pistols. Made circa 1845, each has a 5.25-inch Damascus octagon barrel (smoothbore, .865-inch muzzle diameter, .635-inch bore diameter, sights), hammer safety, belt clip, checkered wood grips and a trapdoor grip cap. Finishes are brown over the barrel, color case, polished blue and niter blue. Individual weight is 1.4 pounds. ENGRAVING: Actions, guards and caps are dressed in fine scroll. CONDITION: Bores are strong with patches of surface browning. Hammers/triggers operate properly. One of the safeties is stuck in the “off” position. Finishes are likely refreshed and all are strong. Grips are solid. CASE: In fair condition with maker's label, the wood case includes a bullet mold and other accessories. The price is firm and layaway is available. $3,750 plus shipping.
