Randall Model - C .45 Auto, 4 1/4" Barrel
Description: This beautiful compact 1911 is one of very few pistols manufactured by the short lived Randall Firearms Company. Getting it's start as an aircraft instrument repair company known as KEN-AIR, named after Ken Lau, the founder of the company. KEN_AIR started manufacturing 1911 pistols for the South Korean government in 1981 before the contract was cancelled. Lau had a close friend and business associate in WWII General Russel Randall. Using Randalls international recognition, the company was renamed to Randall Firearms Company. Randall firearms were only produced between 1983 and 1985, but in that short time the company made many breakthroughs in the design of the 1911 that would set the course for the future production of pistols. Randall was the first firearm company to make a stainless steel, semi-automatic pistol. The fact that only 9,968 Randall pistols were ever manufactured, coupled with the significant impact the company had on the firearms industry as a whole, contribute to the collectability of each of these firearms. Commander sized 1911 with 4-1/4 inch barrel. Early models were called Service Model-C (for compact) while later models were simply called Randall Raider. This model employs a classic round-top slide, fixed sights, rounded and skeletonized hammer with custom grips. .45 Auto SOLD Metal Condition: Excellent Wood Condition: Custom Resin Grips Bore Condition: Excellent Barrels: 4 1/4" Barrel Triggers: Randall Factory Trigger Weight: 2 1/4 lbs.
