You are looking at a beautiful Remington Rand 1911 US army property marked with the original box. This 1911 is in excellent condition with almost no wear anywhere except for the barrel and magazine. There are some minor marks scattered throughout the slide and the frame but no deep gouges or dings. The right side of the frame has the Springfield armory cartouche stamped into it as well as United States property M 1911 A1 US Army and the serial number. The left side of the frame has a FJA acceptance stamp and a P stamped on both the trigger guard and beside of the magazine release. The left side of the slide is stamped Remington rand Inc. Syracuse, New York, USA the top of the slide has a P stamped in front of the rear sight. Overall, this pistol is in excellent condition with very few marks scattered throughout and some evidence of being shot. I will give this pistol around a 92 to 95% rating cosmetically.
