GORGEOUS Nickel & Blue Remington Double Deringer
Description: GORGEOUS Nickel & Blue Remington Double Deringer Mother of Pearl Grips and Production of 69 Years! Here we present a Remington Double Deringer Type II (Model No. 3), made between 1888 and 1911 (more specifically dating these pistols is unfortunately impossible due to batch numbers being recycled many times). The Double Deringer was made by Remington from 1866 to 1935—a testament to the design as well as the commercial market for such a trusty and concealable firearm. The Deringer was sturdily built and simple in operation. A lever on the right side of the frame swings so that the barrels may open upward on a hinge for loading and unloading. There is a single firing pin that moves from one barrel to another with each cock. The Remington Deringer has been made famous, especially in the old Western films, but use of these guns really was widespread. Lawmen and gangsters alike would carry them as backups or something to stick in a pocket. Civilians loved them, as well as those in the military. In fact, the NRA Museum has a specimen in their collection which was carried as a backup by a pilot during the Korean War in the 1950s. This particular specimen features a beautiful nickel finish with blued accents on the hammer, trigger, extractor and barrel latch. The grips are solid, luminescent mother of pearl. The overall condition is excellent. Both the nickel and the blue finish is nearly 100% intact. The markings are clear and legible. The numbers on the inside of the frame and under the barrel match. The mother of pearl grips are perfect. The bores are in fine condition and the action is excellent. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. The Blue Book value is $3000! Barrel is 3 inches in length. Caliber: .41 rimfire short The bores are in fine condition and the firing mechanism is excellent. Overall condition as seen in photos. Here is the ultimate Remington Double Deringer for your collection. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1500 #21762 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
