Here is a survivor from long ago, a Remington double derringer serial #919. As is the case with so many of these there is a small crack in the hinge. Bores are so-so but you probably are not expecting a target gun anyhow. Nickel is 30% or so but the metal is smooth and not pitted. If you have access to a gunsmith who can weld these back up or if you just want it for a shadow-box, here's an economical representative from the old west. You can see the little crack at the 5 o'clock position under the hinge screw in the 3rd picture. With a manual extractor my guess it was made in the 1860s so no ffl or C&R required. It's not a museum piece but priced accordingly. $20 shipping and insurance via priority mail to your door in most states.
