BEAUTIFUL Remington Model 95 Double Deringer, 3rd Model, Engraved
Description: DESCRIPTION: Remington Model 95 Double Deringer, Type II aka Model Number 3, over under 2-barrel deringer in caliber 41 Rimfire, 3" barrels, rib in between barrels, blade front sight integral with rib on top of barrel, original checkered hard rubber grips, blued finish, top of barrel marked "REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y.", top break, manual extractor between barrels, beautifully restored screws/hammer/trigger and locking pivoting key, engraved in a Remington pattern by master engraver William B. Ellis and signed by him on bottom of grip (link to his is ://willyb/navigation_bars/GunEngraving.html to see more of his awesome work!!). Serial number 397 is on the frame when the grips are removed, made 1888. CONDITION: Hinge is tight and without the typical crack. Bores are very good with plenty of shine and sharp rifling. Original checkered hard rubber grips are perfect with no damage. Original blued finish has turned a dark gray with traces in protected areas near the frame and in the ribs; really helps show the engraving. Beautiful high polish fire blue on the screws, pivoting locking pin, hammer and spur trigger. Super strong hammer spring with working half cock. Outstanding piece to add to your collection.
