Remington Rand Model M1911 A1 U.S. Army Pistol chambered in .45 ACP. Remington Rand, better known for manufacturing typewriters, produced nearly a million pistols for WWII war effort. The M1911A1 is an improved version of the original M1911 that entered service in 1926. The pistol served as the standard-issue sidearm for the United States Armed Forces until 1985. It has a Parkerized finish, a 5-inch round barrel, plastic grips, and fixed sights. The condition of this pistol is Very good. It comes with one magazine. It was manufactured by Remington Rand in 1944. It is marked United States Property, ser # 1953056. No box. .45 ACP
