EXCELLENT REMINGTON-ELLIOT RING TRIGER PEPPERBOX PISTOL

Description:

Manufactured from 1863 to1888, this example is a scarce “High Frame” variation of an Elliot Patent 32 Rimfire four barrel pepperbox. Blade and notch sights, with “ MANUFACTURED BY E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, N.Y. on the left rib and ”ELLIOT'S PATENTS MAY 29,1860- OCT.1,1861 on the right. Full nickel finish, with the smooth ring trigger, contoured butt and smooth rosewood grips. 3 3/8" Round Barrel
Condition:
Excellent, with 97%  of the original nickel finish, showing some light spotting and handling marks overall, some flaking exposing mottled gray steel on the muzzle and the left side barrel group, and a patch of scuffing on the upper right barrel near the breech. Grips are excellent, with a thin barely noticeable “stress” crack in the left panel excellent varnish. Mechanically fine.
