Description: Remington Rand 1911 .45 ACP Mfg. 1942-43. Parkerized finish Showing little signs of age. Fixed sights, with the left side of the slide marked "REMINGTON RAND INC. / SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A." and "P" on top ahead of the rear sight. The right side of the frame is stamped with the Ordnance Corps cartouche behind the grips, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" around the stop hole, over the "NO." style serial number. Holster wear around the raised edges around the muzzle/slide. The left side of the frame is stamped with Frank J. Atwood's inspector mark and "P" around the magazine release. Normal action wear for its age, otherwise in great condition. Checkered stamped trigger, thin checkered hammer spur, checkered thumb safety, serrated slide catch, serrated arched mainspring housing and late style Keyes Fibre grips.
