REMINGTON ARMS-U.M.C. Model 95 Double DERINGER Type III .41 Cal. C&R PISTOL Long-Lived American OVER/UNDER Conceal & Carry Pistol
Description: REMINGTON ARMS-U.M.C. Model 95 Double DERINGER Type III .41 Cal. C&R PISTOL Long-Lived American OVER/UNDER Conceal & Carry Pistol Here we present a C&R Remington Arms – U.M.C. Model 95 Type III Double Deringer, made circa 1912-1935 in Ilion, New York. This example is chambered in .41 caliber rimfire with a total production of approximately 55,000. The double deringer was made by Remington from 1866 to 1935, which is a testament to the design as well as the commercial market for such a trusty and concealable firearm. The Deringer was sturdily built and simple in operation. A lever on the right side of the frame swings so that the barrels may open upward on a hinge for loading and unloading. There is a single firing pin that moves from one barrel to another with each cock. The Remington Deringer has been made famous, especially in the old Western films, but use of these guns really was widespread. Lawmen and gangsters alike would carry them as backups or something to stick in a pocket. Civilians loved them, as well as those in the military. In fact, the NRA Museum has a specimen in their collection which was carried as a backup by a pilot during the Korean War in the 1950s. The overall condition is good. Strong action. Both bores are in good shape for their ages. Sharp markings. The grips are firmly seated and have average handling wear. This example has been nicely refinished. On the left side of the frame a hand marked “A” can be found. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 3 inches. Caliber: .41 Rimfire Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1000 #228599 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
