This pre-owned M 1911 A1 is something of a hybrid. It has a Union Switch & Signal slide on a Remington Rand grip frame. The slide is stamped "U.S. & S CO SWISSVALE, PA. USA." on the left side and has the "P" proof mark near the edge of the top of the slide. The frame is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" in a line above the serial number of 1481607 which is in the range of numbers assigned to Remington Rand in 1944. The left side of the frame has the "FJA" inspector stamp found on Remington Rand pistols. The pistol is in good condition without any damage, rust or pitting. .45 ACP
