The Rock Island Armory (RIA) M1911-A1 FS Tactical II (often categorized under the Rock Ultra FS or TAC Ultra FS series) is a full-sized, single-action 1911 chambered in 10mm Auto. This model includes several factory upgrades over standard GI-style 1911s to handle the increased power of the 10mm cartridge. Features a high-visibility fiber optic front sight paired with a low-profile LPA MPS1-type adjustable rear sight. Equipped with aggressive G10 tactical grips and a checkered mainspring housing for a secure hold under heavy recoil. Includes a skeletonized hammer and a lightweight trigger with an adjustable over-travel stop, typically set for a crisp 4–6 lb pull. Features an extended beavertail grip safety to prevent "hammer bite" and an ambidextrous thumb safety. Built with 4140 ordnance steel.
