Description:
Ruger® designed the grip frame of the Mark III™ 22/45™ Semi-Auto Rimfire Pistol to feel like the famous 1911 .45 service pistol. For the 22/45 Lite®, Ruger mated the lightweight Zytel® polymer grip frame with a lightweight, vented, aluminum receiver and barrel shroud, resulting in a super lightweight, full-sized pistol, with the same grip and feel of the standard 22/45. The Lite uses a Mark III steel barrel that is turned down to a thinner diameter and fastened into the receiver/barrel shroud with a large nut at the muzzle, which tensions the barrel within the aluminum shroud. The muzzle is threaded 1/2"-28 TPI for the attachment of a muzzle brake or sound suppressor, and a thread protected is supplied. A partridge-style, target front sight, a fully adjustable target rear sight, and a light, crisp trigger-pull allow shooters to obtain excellent accuracy with the MK III Lite Semi-Auto Pistol.
