**SOLD** 1974 Vintage Ruger Mark 1 Target .22 LR Pistol
** Excellent Condition Example **
Description:
**SOLD** This is a super-clean, very lightly used Ruger Mark 1 Target semi-auto pistol in .22LR. Manufactured in 1974, this Ruger has obviously lived a very easy life. This pistol was made during a period in which Ruger pistols had a very high degree of fit and finish with lots of hand-fit parts and a hand-tuned action. The factory blue finish on this gun is bright and beautiful, rating 98%. Coming up with 2% of deductions was extremely difficult and requires very close inspection. As you can see from the pictures, there is nothing that stands out as a bad spot or eyesore. The gun looks like it was made last month rather than 48 years ago. All of the factory markings are crisp and clean with some filled with white paste for visibility, and all of the pins and screws appear to be in perfect condition including the rear sight adjustments. The bore in the 6 & 7/8ths" inch barrel is mirror-bright and pristine with perfect, sharp rifling and no visible imperfections. There is ZERO pitting or visible erosion in the bore. The grips on this Ruger are beautiful. They are checkered American Walnut with clean and crisp checkering and no staining, visible wear, or oil soaking. The two grip panels match each other perfectly in color and every other aspect. Both grips are tight to the gun with no wiggle or slop. The action on this Mark 1 Target is smooth, slick, and precise. The bolt slams home into battery when released and all of the controls on the gun are in perfect working order. This Mark 1 Target is not even broken-in yet and has perfect internals with no visible mechanical wear. We have no doubt that it will still function just as reliably and shoot just as accurately as the day it left the factory in 1974. If you have been looking for an investment-grade Ruger Mark 1 Target this pistol would be an excellent choice.
