Savage only made a handful of .25 ACP pistols in the 1000M-1020M serial range. Total production of all .25 caliber pistols is estimated at between 25-40. This particular example, the second one manufactured, has the full slide legend, coarse slide serrations, original grips, and original magazine.

Condition:

VG + bright blue original finish with fading and fine scratches, especially on right side of slide, as carefully photographed. Slightly dull bore with easily discernible rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. A super rare opportunity to own one of the rarest Savage pistols extant, consecutive to the example pictured in Brower’s reference book.
