Perfect for both the avid collector--and the avid shooter! Why? A) this baby is in beautiful condition--a sweet addition to anyone's vintage collection, and B) all action is tight and it shoots smoothly, plus you get not one but two mags--more time throwing the lead. There's no need to introduce Savage’s classic trapezoid-grip pistol, and this fine example is for sale. I’m no expert, but would say the finish is 90%; take a look at the photos and see what you think. Original grips show some wear; upper right grip has almost invisible chip. Clean bore; crisp action. In short, this gun appears barely shot despite its age, and still features a rich, satiny deep blue finish—see photos. BTW: compare this finish to other guns listed beside it---you'll note many of them look dull, matte finish. Not this one--and I can guarantee it's all original; no re-bluing. How can I tell?: it's all in the photos for you to see....look how crisp the lettering is when it says, "Savage 1917 Model". If it were re-finished, this would be slightly filled in, and blurry.
