Scarce SIG P230, a Swiss police pistol manufactured in 1977, chambered in 9mm Police (9x18mm Ultra), with matching parts and a factory cut Solothurn Polizei logo, complete with a brown leather holster.

Description:

Seldom seen SIG Sauer P230 with matching parts, made for the Swiss Solothurn Police in 1977, with factory cut logo on left side of the slide. SN: S106449. Cal: 9mm Police. NOT INTERCHANGEABLE WITH .380 ACP. Standard configuration SIG Sauer P230, modeled after the Mauser HSc, with fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight, each with white highlights. Left side of slide marked “SIG SAUER” followed by “9mm Police”. Large logoed Solothurn Polizei marking (identical to what is pictured in Police Pistol reference book by Schweinfurth on page 109). The right side of the slide is marked with the model “P230” along with the full serial number. Fitted with black plastic grips. Original unmarked SIG magazine with zippered spine, two elongated indicator slots, and finger extension floorplate. Complete with brown leather breakaway holster with paired shoulder strap clips.

Condition:

Excellent original salt blue finish with sharp edge wear as befitting a police service pistol that has seen field use. Comparable condition grips with scattered scuffing on the right panel near the base. Magazine VG with the right side having a patch of light oxidation and scattered scratch marks as imaged. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. Excellent holster with a few superficial scuffs suggesting little actual use.
