Description:

SIG P49 Swiss military pistol, SN: A194392, caliber 9mmP, with matte finish, 4.75” barrel, drift adjustable front and rear sight, and serrated slide release. The left side of the slide and frame are proofed and marked with the full serial number that is repeated on the right side of the barrel hood. Safety detents are marked with an “S” in white and “F” in red. “P” release marked on the left side of the trigger guard and discretely applied import marking on base of frame. Disassembly shows a matching hammer assembly with the usual half cock. Fitted with checkered black plastic grips, integral escutcheons, secured with a single transverse screw. Correct, unmarked matte finish magazine with 7 indicator holes and detachable floorplate.

Condition:

EXC original condition, "P" release on trigger guard cutting through finish, with minimal sharp edge wear around muzzle, forward frame, and contact areas around slide release / safety lever. Virtually no wear or thinning of frontstrap, nor is there any discoloration of the barrel or of the small, in-the-white parts. Crisp grips with sharp checkering. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A classic late production Swiss P49 pistol in exceptional condition, perfect for the range or in your collection.
