The brand new target pistol is based on the proven SIG SAUER P226 X-Six. However, this is the original and not the version of the current X-Series. Irrespective of this, the "CLUB 30 X-Six", initially limited to 50 copies, is an impressive sight that will certainly attract the attention of curious fellow shooters on the shooting range.
The 12 cutouts in the breech area reduce the movable mass and thus also ensure a comfortable shot. The dozen cut-outs in two rows of six in the front closure area are striking and are not just purely cosmetic. As a result, the lock weight is reduced from 374 to 328 grams, which at 46 grams corresponds to around twelve percent. This results in less moving mass and less recoil when shooting.

SIG Sauer P226 X-Six CLUB 30 in detail
The brand new target pistol is based on the proven SIG SAUER P226 X-Six. However, this is the original and not the version of the current X-Series. This can be seen at first glance, for example, in the fact that the closure at the muzzle is not beveled and is less streamlined. Irrespective of this, the "CLUB 30 X-Six", initially limited to 50 copies, is an impressive sight that will certainly attract the attention of curious fellow shooters on the shooting range.
The 12 cutouts in the breech area reduce the movable mass and thus also ensure a comfortable shot. The dozen cut-outs in two rows of six in the front closure area are striking and are not just purely cosmetic. As a result, the lock weight is reduced from 374 to 328 grams, which at 46 grams corresponds to around twelve percent. This results in less moving mass and less recoil when shooting.
The exclusive appearance of the weapon is underlined by the "Snakeskin"-style grip surfaces on the slide flanks, whereby this alternative with the look of reptile scale skin is at least as easy to grip as compared to the usual grooves. A trigger unit with a skeletonized trigger and hammer sits in the steel frame, as is already known from the newer SIG SAUER X-Series X-Match versions. The mounting rail on the underside of the frame's closing spring housing is recommended for attaching an additional weight if the discipline to be contested allows it with regard to the weight limit.
The grip scales provide the appropriate grip even for sweaty hands. When it comes to handle scales, opinions can certainly be divided as far as the look and feel are concerned. Traditionally, SIG SAUER equipped its target models with handle scales made from brown walnut by handle specialist Karl Nill. Some of the current X-Series models are also equipped with black laminated wood grips or HOGUE G-10 grips. The "CLUB 30 X-Six", on the other hand, has plastic handles whose surfaces are structured by hand with a soldering iron . In our opinion, they cannot be surpassed in terms of grip and shooting practice.

However, the new X-Six would not be a real Club 30 weapon if other "invisible" tuning measures had not been carried out. The tolerances between the guide rails of the grip and slide have been further reduced by mechanical post-processing, and the preload of the barrel in the area of ??the slide muzzle flange has been optimized. Finally, the characteristics of the single-action trigger unit were revised somewhat, which means that it is in no way inferior to a well-prepared 1911 trigger. With an average trigger weight of 1,113 grams, it is almost perfectly set for most disciplines with a 1,000 gram limit and should come closer to the prescribed limit after a running-in phase.
