The Sig Sauer P320 pistol is one of the most popular pistols on the market, with dozens of models being developed to fulfill the various requirements found in competition, self-defense, law enforcement, and military roles. The P320 XFIVE DH3 was developed by the Sig Sauer Custom Works in a collaboration with Team SIG’s Daniel Horner and is intended to be the ultimate blend of target and tactical pistol. The DH3 was developed with the venerable XFIVE Legion as a starting point. Like the XFIVE Legion, the XFIVE DH3 iteration features the TXG tungsten-infused grip module but treated with Silicon Carbide grip textures to ensure maximum grip in all situations. The XFIVE DH3 weighs in at 43.5 oz – identical to its predecessor. The tungsten-infused polymer helps give the pistol it’s fairly heavy weight helping to reduce muzzle flip by at least half. This is an important consideration for target shooting competitions. The trigger pull of the XFIVE Legion and XFIVE DH3 is reduced by about 30 percent compared to a standard P320 thanks to the trigger being skeletonized. This also increases the shooting speed of the pistol if the user does their part. The original recoil system has been replaced by a solid-steel guide rod with a 14-lb. 1911-style recoil spring. The pistol also comes with a spare 12-lb. spring. The mag-well adaptor also functions as a pistol weight and is removable. It is important to remember that with the mag-well adaptor installed, 17-round magazines with the standard baseplate cannot be used, only those with the smaller baseplate. The slide has a PRO-compatible footprint optic cut. Unlike the standard full-size P320 with 4.7” barrel, the XFIVE DH3 uses a 5” heavy bull barrel with recessed target crown. Sighting is done via a set of XRAY3 Day/Night Suppressor Height Sights. Total length of the pistol is 8.5 inches, height 6.5 inches, and width 1.4 inches. This new-in-box XFIVE DH3 comes with three 21-round magazines.
