Description: Synopsis: Massive SIG Hammerli, P240 Target Pistol, Boxed, P200090, FB01002 Description: The SIG Hammerli P240 target pistol, designed by SIG, was manufactured by its Hammerli subsidiary in Lenzburg. It is estimated that fewer than 3,000 pistols in .38 Special WC were manufactured in total, this example one of the earliest guns made in/before 1975. This is a standard configuration pistol, with fully adjustable target grade sights, manufacturer reference on the left side of the slide, SN and caliber repeated on the right side of the barrel and slide, the serial number on the frame. Fitted with smooth oversized ergonomic grips. Typical SIG designed magazines with a zippered spine. Takedown tool. Pistol and tool boxed in a red/white Hammerli 230 box having end label that matches the pistol SN. Condition: 99+% original blue with comparable condition grips. Magazine with insertional wear on its spine. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. Note that the magazine does not engage the hold open, as correct for this variation.
