Description:

SIG Sauer P229 SN: AL13634, Cal. 9mmP, SA/DA pistol as issued to the Swiss Police in Chur, with nitron finished slide, early form drift adjustable sights with white highlights, spare magazine, factory matching/dated test target and black plastic case with numbered shipping sleeve. Left side of slide with the manufacturer and model; top of slide marked with the Stadt Polizei Chur logo. Matching serial numbers on the right side of the slide, frame and barrel that is additionally marked with caliber. Major components marked with German Eagle/N proofs. Grips with textured surfaces, left panel marked P229; the right side is marked SIG SAUER. Primary and spare magazines are both high capacity and staggered with indicator holes marked 5, 10, 13, supplied by Mec-Gar in Italy, both with the law enforcement/government use restriction on the front spine. Complete with matching test target dated 12 July 2001 and black plastic SIG arms case. No literature.

Condition:

Near excellent original condition with sharp edge wear as one might expect from a police pistol that had been carried in service. Comparable condition anodized frame, grips and magazines. As the pistol is over twenty years old, the night sights no longer have their original illumination properties. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. Crisp test target.
