This SIG Sauer P229-1 Legion SA/DA pistol in 9mmP with gray finish and "XRAY" night sights is a virtually new enhanced Legion series gun, originally introduced in 1992 as an upgrade to the P228 for duty and concealed carry use, this example made in Nov 2016.

Description:

Introduced in 1992, this standard configuration Sig Sauer P229-1 SA/DA pistol, grey coated, in 9mm, SN: 55B078477, has a 3.9-inch barrel and Legion series enhancements. Drift adjustable "X-RAY" front and rear night sights marked "TG-H3". The left side of the slide is marked "SIG SAUER P229", while the exposed barrel lug displays "9MM PARA/SIG P229-1" with the frame bearing "SIG SAUER INC/EXETER-NH-USA" along with serial number "55B078477". Black textured grips feature circular Legion medallions secured with slotted screws. The included fifteen-round magazine marked SIG SAUER P229-1 on left side with capacity indicators from 3 to 15 on the spine. Complete with black molded carrying case with "SIG SAUER" branding, Legion sticker, SIG sticker, oil packets, product documentation, warranty card, and factory labeling showing model "E29R-9-LEGION" with matching serial number, dated Nov 2016. No spare magazine. The P229 represents an upgrade to the P228, maintaining identical compact dimensions ideal for duty or concealed carry purposes with a heavier slide designed to tolerate more powerful rounds, developed specifically for the US market and assembled with both German and US-made components.

Condition:

Virtually new with no suggestion of having been fired since leaving the factory: no wear on barrel hood or feed ramp. Grips and screw slots as new. Minor insertional wear on magazine. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. Crisp as new box and literature. A great looking, near NIB pistol with matching box and literature.
