The pictures really dont do justice to this gun, the high gloss blue on it really presents better in real life than captured. I can send additional pics of the gun so you can appreciate it. This is a 44 Russian Smith Wesson revolver that was purchased by Japanese Navy which is confirmed by the factory letter. As you probably know, the shipping date and manufacture date is two different things when it comes to Smith Wessons, the difference between those two could be a decade. All of these guns were made pre-1898. This particular revolver has about 60% of the original blue, near new bore and crisp tight action. Another interesting feature is a long cylinder more typical of 44-40, however, the revolver is chambered in 44 Russian. Please note, I only have a copy of the two page factory letter, not the original. No license needed to buy except NJ and NYC residents.
