The Smith & Wesson® M&P®9 Shield® Plus Semi-Auto Pistol With Thumb Safety is an ultra-reliable, striker-fired handgun that's simple to operate and maintain, making it ideal for home-defense and concealed carry. The 18° grip angle and a low slide profile deliver intuitive control and pointability. The flat face trigger offers enhanced control and improved trigger finger placement. The stainless steel slide features a durable, black Armornite® and rear cocking serrations that provide a secure grip for effortless slide manipulation. The M&P9 Shield Plus semi-auto pistol features a thumb safety lever, and the magazine release is reversible for enhanced control with either hand. The trigger system prevents the firearm from discharging unless the trigger is fully depressed, even if the pistol is dropped. A low-profile steel rear sight and a white-dot front sight are rapidly acquired with minimum interference when drawing the weapon from a holster or bag.
