Description: General Specs: Smith & Wesson, c1948, .38SPL, 31oz., 5″ Barrel Serial Number: S988797 Here we have a 5” Smith & Wesson M&P Revolver, sometimes rightly or wrongly called a Pre-Model 10. Manufactured around 1948 this Smith & Wesson shows 98% bluing with just a touch of holster wear at the muzzle, a mirror bore and 99% case color remaining on the hammer and trigger. The frame features the earlier roll mark ‘Made In U.S.A’. and a sharp Smith & Wesson motif on the sideplate. The frame, barrel, cylinder, and inside of the grip have matching serial numbers. M&P Revolver/Pre-Model 10’s with the S suffix are very collectable, add this interesting piece to your collection. A Military &Police Golden box is included. Thanks for looking!
