This is a Used Smith & Wesson Model 52-1 “The Master” .38 Special Mid-Range Wadcutter Target Auto Pistol; SN 1026XX which places Manufacture Date between 1963 – 1969 (approximately). This Collector-Shooter’s 52-1 was the First True Single-Action-Only S&W .38 caliber Match Auto Pistol in the 52 Series. Another feature was an optional barrel (dust cover) counterweight that’s not available/not included. This Pistol is in nearly like-new condition with very little wear – and barely broken in. One Original S&W Magazine is Included. There is a small blemish where the counterweight would attach; some marks on the frame and slide rails; and other evidence of handling more than shooting over the past 50+ years. Not being dealers or experts, we estimate the condition as (approximately) 95-98 Percent Original with the photos showing its condition best. All mechanical functions are perfect, as is the bore.
