Description:
Standard configuration S&W Model 945-1 Performance Center pistol manufactured 1998-2000 in .45 ACP, SN: RSA3596, this example a combination of black Melonite finish and high-polish stainless steel. The left side of slide has the Smith & Wesson address. Just below, on the bright polished frame, is the Performance Center logo followed by the SN. "Performance Center" boldly etched on the right side of the slide with the model reference on the right side of the frame. Slide is fitted with a Briley bushing, a drift adjustable Patridge-style front sight and a fully adjustable Wilson Combat rear sight. Other features include an oversized magazine release, ambidextrous thumb safety, grip safety with memory pad, lightened competition match trigger with over-travel stop, flat checkered main spring housing, and scalloped “fishscale” serrations on the slide. Fitted with finely checkered black plastic panels and accompanied by two single stack stainless steel magazines, each with seven indicator holes numbered sequentially 2-8, and marked with the caliber and S&W logo. Included is a mismatched blue plastic hardcase whose label and inserted instruction booklet references a 1911. The Performance Center Model 945-1, a hybrid design between the S&W 645 and the classic 1911 platform, is often cited as the finest .45 ACP pistol ever made by S&W!
Condition:
Excellent original condition, the most noticeable wear related to thinning of the grip safety. No discernible wear on the trigger guard, front strap, or mainspring housing. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics with both magazines. Near excellent shipping case with an incorrect end label.
