• SIGHTS: 1) The front sight is a serrated ramped blade dovetailed to the front of the slide and 2) The rear sight is a Wilson Combat micro click adjustable square notch target sight mounted to the rear of the slide
• STOCK: Two-piece black micarta with the DOUG KOENIG logo stenciled in white in overall excellent condition; a second set of double-diamond-checkered-rubberized panels with S&W monogram are included

• BORE CONDITION: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp
• MECHANICS: The action functions correctly; howeverm it has not been test fired; as with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
• OVERALL CONDITION: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few light draglines and minor marks, some have caused faint smooth areas on the matte portions. There is standard operational wear. The screw heads are undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in about Excellent condition.

NOTE: The pistol has been confirmed by Susan Lorusso to be a Lew Horton Exclusive; however, an authentificaion letter is not being provided.

The firearm comes complete with S&W Performance Center aluminum case, two (2) 10-round magazines, paperwork (including the manual), bushing wrench, test fired brass (dated: 08-17-2006), two (2) additionaly recoil springs (10 and 14 lbs.), and the previously rubber described grips (currently installed). 

Smith & Wesson first introduced their version of the venerable 1911 back in 2003. Since then, a wide variety of SW1911s have been produced and still are today. This is their Doug Koenig edition .38 Super 1911 from the Performance Center. This pistol features rear slide serrations, a full-length guide rod, extended beavertail grip safety, extended ambidextrous thumb safeties, a flat-faced serrated trigger with overtravel adjustment, extended magazine well, Doug Koenig speed hammer, oversized external extractor, and a hand lapped frame and barrel. This pistol is in Excellent condition showing light handling and minor operational wear. This is a great 1911-style pistol made with Smith & Wesson quality, and should serve its new owner well for a lifetime.
