Standard configuration S&W Model 559, cal. 9mmP, all-steel semiautomatic pistol made 1980-1982, previously owned by renowned Smith & Wesson collector Peter DeRose, SN: A770234, with extensive, factory CLASS A foliate/scroll engraving over the slide and frame, nickeled with blued small parts, one of only 50 pistols assembled in this manner. Fixed serrated ramp front sight and fully adjustable rear sight with protective ears. Left side of slide marked "SMITH & WESSON" with "MADE IN U.S.A." and trademark registration text, the serial number "A770234" and "MODEL 559" on the frame below the slide release lever. Right side of frame with circular S&W logo. Black plastic checkered grips secured with slotted screws. Blued 14-shot magazine marked "9MM" and "S&W" on the floorplate. Beautiful 99.9% factory original nickel and salt blue finish with just the most minuscule handling marks, the right grip having a few superficial box scuffs. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics.
