EARLY Compact 3-1/2” LNIB
Here Ancestry Guns presents a Factory Lettered and Matching Factory Boxed Smith & Wesson Model 469 9mm Pistol, manufactured in 1984 in Springfield, Massachusetts. The Model 469 is an early model in Smith & Wesson’s 59-series, envisioned as pistols that could be easily concealed, but with sufficient firepower to work as service weapons as well. It is a traditional Double Action/Single Action pistol with a 3.5-inch barrel, equipped with a slide-mounted safety/decocker. The magazine capacity is 12 rounds.
The included factory letter lists this pistol as having a 3-1/2 inch barrel, blue finish, and black nylon grips when shipped to SER Distributing Co. in Miami, Florida on October 9, 1984. This is the 19th gun made. The letter further states this pistol is one of the special early run of the first 100 pistols manufactured which were set aside for special individuals. Also included is the original matching factory box.
The overall condition is like new in the box. Excellent finish and action. The bore looks like it could be unfired. Grips are fine. The box is in very good condition and matches the gun. Includes literature and a cleaning kit.
