Description:
Standard configuration S&W M39 with fixed front sight and screw adjustable rear sight. Long extractor. Usual markings on each side of the slide and frame that has full serial number and model number. German proofing as imaged. Smooth frontstrap and checkered backstrap. Original, thickly varnished checkered grips with S&W medallions. Fixed lanyard ring. Single column magazine with seven indicator holes and detachable S&W marked base. No box or accessories.
Condition:
Excellent original bright blue with sharp edge wear/minor handling marks as imaged. Comparable condition grips and magazine. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. One of the most desirable S&W Model 39 variations with an interesting history as reflected by its German proofing!
