Smith & Wesson Model 39-2 Semi-Automatic Pistol chambered in 9MM luger. This is a semiautomatic pistol developed for the United States Army service pistol trials of 1954. It went on the civilian market in 1955 and was the first of Smith & Wesson's first generation semi-automatic pistols. The slide is carbon steel and the frame of the is made entirely of aluminum to reduce weight. The barrel is made out of carbon steel and is polished. There is a barrel bushing similar to the Colt 1911. It has a decocker on the left. The walnut grips are in excellent condition with a few handling marks. Complete with original box and 1 mag. 9mm Luger
