The Smith & Wesson 5903 is a third-generation, full-size 9mm DA/SA pistol produced from 1990 to 1997, known for blending the durability of S&W’s metal-frame duty guns with a lighter, more carry-friendly alloy frame. It’s widely regarded as one of the classic American police pistols of the 1990s.
Full-size, alloy-frame 9mm with a stainless steel slide, 4-inch barrel, and 15-round double-stack magazine. It uses S&W’s DA/SA system with an ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker. This design places it between the heavier all-steel 5906 and the blued 5904.
